Udine

Udine represents the centre of Friuli Region. Its medieval and venetian pas can be encountered everywhere in the city, in its piazzas (market squares), edifices and historical monuments. Piazza Libertà is the main centre of the city where the Castle of Udine is located as well as Loggia del Lionello (an open architectonic construction) and the "campanile" or Belfry. Inside the historical edifices and churches of the city, you can admire numerous artistic works of Giovanbattista Tiepolo (18th century), Udine being renowned as "The City of Tiepolo".
