Cividale is an antique city which appeared for the first time as Forum Iulii in year 50 BC, founded by Julius Caesar. Later, Cividale became Capital of the first Lombard Duchy in Italy (formed by Germanic Tribes, according to Tacitus). Evidence of the origin of the city is exhibited at the Museum of Archeology and Christianity. One of the main interesting attractions of Cividale is the bridge, "Ponte del Diavolo" (Devil's Bridge) or the "Tempietto longobardo" halidom.
